Pensacola State grad wins national silver ADDY® Award

Camille Nettles, a recent Pensacola State College graphic design graduate, was honored June 5 at the national ADDY® Awards ceremony at the Hilton Austin Hotel in Texas.

Nettles received a silver ADDY® Award for her project “Persona,” a creation of retail bag and clothing tag designs – making her the first-ever person (student or professional) representing the American Advertising Federation/Pensacola.

“It was an amazing experience to receive such recognition and to meet advertising professionals from around the country,” Nettles says.

Preceding the nationals, Nettles won two ADDY® Awards at the AAF/Pensacola awards, a Student Gold ADDY and a Student Judges Award. She also won a Student Gold ADDY at the AAF District 4 awards.

While still attending Pensacola State, Nettles began working for Duncan McCall Advertising in May 2011. She graduated from Pensacola State with a degree in graphic design technology in December 2011.
